We had a fabulous time and even though the Sacramento Zoo is probably better, we were surprised at the number of animals they had and the spacious homes each animal had. I always feel bad when you go to a zoo where the animals seem to be squished into a tiny home. But at the Oakland Zoo the animals had more than enough space.
We walked through the whole zoo then rode a train through "Wild Australia" which sadly consisted only of emu and kangaroo. But our favorite part of the visit was riding the Skyride over the animals though I got a little nervous when we were stopped right over the lion cage.

| These gazelle were running around earlier but tired by the afternoon. Apparently they are being fed well, the gazelle in videos are usually quite a bit smaller. |
