Being that I'm on the social committee at work, I was put in charge of planning the company picnic. We decided to create our own Silicon Valley County Fair complete with an ice cream cart, cotton candy machine, "petting zoo" consisting of stuffed farm animals on the tables, games, and our own "Best of the Best" exhibit hall with four areas of competition - bread/rolls, jams/jellies, desserts and homemade crafts.
Part of the fun was an hour of organized games - tug of war (so competitive!), water balloon launching, and a relay obstacle course including potato sacks, running with a ball on a little shovel and hippity-hop balls.
One of my co-workers challenged me to a race through the obstacle course and cheated not once...but twice! She started before I was even in my sack and then instead of hippity-hopping back to the finish, she got up and started running. But in the end, I took her down (literally) and ended up winning!
Check out what I did by watching the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzWqRutlaEI - skip to about 1:20 for our race. I'm on the right.
I'll post more pics of the picnic when I get them.
